Director, Surgical Simulation Education and Assessment
Loyola University Medical Center
Dr. Evans is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with a primary focus in knee and shoulder arthroscopy. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, he returned to his home town of Buffalo, NY for medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He stayed at SUNY Buffalo to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency. Dr. Evans then went on to do a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Chicago. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Evans joined the faculty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in 2005. In 2014, Dr. Evans was appointed Director of Surgical Simulation Education and Assessment for Loyola University Medical Center to further his interest in training residents and medical students. Dr. Evans was recently appointed as an Illinois delegate of the AAOS Board of Counselors. Additionally, he is currently serving as Assistant Editor for Social Media for the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine and Chairman of the Electronic Media Editorial Board.
