Dr. James Genuario, MD, MS, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and fellowship trained in sports medicine. His interest in medicine began at the University of Notre Dame where he received a bachelor in biology and anthropology and then at Northwestern School of Medicine for his medical doctorate. Dr. Genuario did his internship and residency at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. During this time, he took an additional year and obtained his masters in health policy at The Dartmouth Institute where he garnered a special interest in cost-effective health care. In addition, Dr. Genuario was awarded the prestigious Health Policy Fellowship through the AAOS. He completed his medical training obtaining a sports specialty at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver Sports Medicine Fellowship.
Currently Dr. Genuario serves as a team physician for the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Denver Nuggets Basketball, Colorado Rapids Soccer Club, and consults on the Colorado Ballet. He is active in the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy.
Dr. Genuario has a special clinical interest in sports medicine, hip preservation surgery and cost-effective health care. Outside of work, Dr. Genuario enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristy and three teenage children, Josh, Parker and Keeley in the mountains of Colorado.

Professor Paulo Llinás completed his undergraduate training in the Libre University in Barranquilla, Colombia, his graduate training in the National University of Mexico UNAM, his Fellowship in arthroscopy and reconstructive knee surgery in the San Ignacio University Hospital of the Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, and a Fellowship in knee and shoulder surgery in ICESI University in Cali, Colombia.
Since 2010 he has served as a professor and director of the arthroscopic and reconstructive knee and shoulder surgery Fellowship Program at ICESI University in Cali, Colombia. Currently, he is a Sports Medicine Arthroscopy and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospital Fundación Valle del Lili in Cali, Colombia.
He is serving as President of the Arthroscopic Surgery and Joint Reconstruction Colombian Association ACCAR 2019 to 2021. He was the President of the shoulder and elbow chapter of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology SCCOT from 2010 to 2013. He sponsored the travelling fellowship program of AOSSM in the United States in June 2012.
He is an Editorial Board Member of the American Journal for Sports Medicine AJSM and a Reviewer of the Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine OJSM. He is also a member of the International Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment ISMST.
Professor Llinás has published many articles in reviewed journals. As an accomplished professional, he is a lecturer who is often invited to present his work at international and national meetings.
As part of his scientific endeavors which include innovating ideas, programs, as well as courses to reach out and provide academic access and knowledge to the medical community at large, every two years, he directs and organizes the CCV (Live Surgery Course) in Cali, where recognized national and international experts perform 18 live surgeries and share their knowledge and experience in the field of shoulder and knee surgical treatment.
